Watson Lake - Prescott's Top Spot for Outdoor Recreation

Watson Lake is a great place to enjoy the weekend. Every time I visit, I’m reminded how lucky we are to have this place just four miles from downtown. Whether I'm kayaking through the granite formations, hiking the loop trail, or just enjoying a sunset picnic on the rocks, it never gets old.

The lake offers year-round activities—fishing, paddleboarding, rock climbing, disc golf, camping—all surrounded by those incredible 1.4-billion-year-old granite boulders. And here's an insider tip: parking is free on Wednesdays.

If you've seen those stunning photos of a lake and massive boulders while scrolling through social media, there's a good chance it's Watson Lake. It's one of those places that makes living in Prescott so special.
